What To Expect When We Sand Your Floors

* NOISE - DUST- VAPOR

Noise from the Machinery and Sanding Process :

  • Dust from the Sanding
  • Vapors from the Sanding
  • Depending on the coatings used, there will be residual smell.
  • Coating can take unto 7-10 days Full Cure.

You may need to touch up Paint after floors are finished and dust work areas.

* WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Good Clear Access.
  • Power Supply.
  • Furniture and floor coverings removed - unless quoted.
  • Restricted access to sanding area form.
    • - Other Trades
    • - Children & Pets
  • No access when floor is being coated.
  • An area for bagging dust.
  • No pilot lights or open flames when coating.

TYPES OR FINISHES

*SOLVENT BASED URETHANE

A durable and tough finish available in Gloss, Satin or Matt. There is a strong vapor during application. the floor will darken with time, edgebonding may occur.

* WATER BASED URETHANE

Durable - Low odour - Non toxic, available in Gloss, Satin or Matt.
Maintains a more natural timber colour, reduces edgebonding.

* OIL MODIFIED URETHANE

A combination of oils & urethane, better durability than oil based finishes, available in Gloss or Satin. Darkens with time, reduces edgebonding, slow to cure in cold weather.

* OIL BASED FINISHES

Traditional types of finish, available in Gloss or Satin. Requires greater regular maintenance, darkens with time, reduces edgebonding, slow to cure in cold weather.

* MAINTENANCE

Matting at external doors, regular sweeping or vacuuming, damp mopping with recommended cleaner, prompt removal of spillages, protective felt pads on furniture, recoating as required.
